Being an Island
in the Aegean, Rhodes is the ideal place for
Sailing: the blue waters,
pleasant climate and perfect winds, provide
ideal conditions to sail along the scenic
bays of Kallithea and Lindos or organize a
day-trip to the neighboring islands o Symi,
Halki or even in Turkey.
A sport
with long local history on the island, it
has a marina with all modern facilities
as well as two sailing clubs that are responsible
for developing the sport.
Many National and International races like
the NatWest Island Games Rhodes XII, which
will take place in 2007, are organised in
Rhodes with the support of the National
Sailing Federation.
